Roller Coaster-A-Thon

May 23rd we will be meeting at the church at 4 a.m. and head towards Cedar Point. That evening we will be spending the night at the Church of the Messiah in Westerville, OH. Sunday the 24th, we will be going to King’s Island early in the morning. We will spend the day there riding coasters and will depart at 7:30 p.m. We will arrive back late that night. We will have your children contact you when we are within 40 minutes of the church.

 

 

 

 Important!: A deposit of $35 is due by Wednesday, May 6th to secure your place on the trip! We only have 40 spots and they will fill up quickly!

 

 

What is the Roller Coaster-Athon?:

Two fun filled days of riding roller coasters at Cedar Point and King’s Island.

 

How much does it cost?: For tickets to both parks, unlimited drinks and coach bus fare, each student’s fee will be $65. Also, each student will need to bring at least $25 for food each day at the park ($50 total). This is not a suggestion for extra money-this is the approximated amount needed to eat! If you want souvenirs, you will need to bring extra money as well.

 

How can I pay?: Please make a check payable to Forrest Burdette UMC with “Roller Coaster Trip” in your memo. If you want to pay with cash, please put the money inside of an envelope with your name on it. You may pay the full amount of $65 by Wednesday, May 6th (deadline for deposit) or you may pay the deposit and then pay the remainder ($30) by May 20th.

 

What do I need to bring?: A change of clothes for two days and a sleeping bag (an air mattress if you like), wash cloth and towel, necessary toiletries (don’t forget your deodorant!). Also…don’t forget your $50 for food.

 

 

Is there anything else I need to turn in besides money?:

Yes! Because we love you so much-please turn in a medical/permission form for 2009. You can find one @ fbuth.org. Simply select the tab “forms” and print out the medical and permission form. Also, there is an additional form for parents to fill out that is now found in the Medical Permission Form. If you have already filled out the medical and permission form, there will be single copies in the connection center.

 

 Lunch with the Easter Bunny Fundraiser

April 11th 11am-1pm.

 

April 15th We will be meeting at the Wave Pool Park to play volley ball from 7-8 pm. If weather is bad, we will meet at the church in the basement.
